Description

A piece of armor that protects the arms from the wrist to the elbow. They first appeared in Europe in the 14th century. The armbands are tubular and consist of three strongly curved metal plates. The plates are pivotally connected to each other and are closed using two leather straps with buckles. The upper part (elbow) is decorated with ornamental engravings.

Condition

Metal without major deformations or cracks. The surface has traces of darkening and slight corrosion, which is typical for antique or long-stored metal products. The decorations and engravings are clearly visible and practically undamaged. Fasteners and straps are present, although the straps look a little worn out and may need to be replaced for a secure fit.
