Description
The ossuary is shaped like a yurt, with a lid that can be opened and closed. Its walls slope inward and are attached to the oval-shaped lid on top. Beneath the lid, the walls have a facing plate; the surfaces of the lid and walls are decorated with straight lines and freely drawn rounded stems. On the side wall, two human figures are attached in relief. Inside are human remains. The ossuary was discovered in 1950 in the city of Zhambyl, at a Zoroastrian cemetery near the bazaar.
