Description
The artistic composition is created on a wooden base. Braided leather “branches” (baq) are arranged on the wood, with metal plaques attached to them bearing family symbols. These elements symbolize ancestral continuity and family memory.
On the back of the composition, a leather-cut map of Kazakhstan is affixed, emphasizing the connection between the family and their homeland.
The artisan used traditional Kazakh applied art techniques such as leather tanning, braiding, and decorative carving. The piece holds both ethnographic and artistic significance.
