Description

Balbal tas is a monument in the form of a man, carved from a large mountain stone of oblong rectangular shape. It is often found in ancient Turkic times. The front side of the stone is processed, height-100cm, width-43cm, thickness-20cm. The statue depicts shoulder armor, a belt on which hung a sword, and a man holding a bowl in one hand. In 1989, it was discovered at the foot of Mount Koktobe near the rivers Zhylybulak and Lepsy.
