The exhibit is a French bayonet of the 1874 model with a scabbard. It was made by hand from metal in France at the end of the 19th century. The blade is long and narrow, which made it easy to use in combat conditions. Such bayonets were part of the armament of the French army and were an important element of the military equipment of soldiers.
