Description

Percussion instrument, Kazakh and ancient Turkic tambourine. It consists of a wooden rim covered with leather on one side, with metal rings inside. Dangyra is considered by the people to be a sacred and magical instrument. It was used by ancient shamans (Bucks) to conduct their mysteries, rituals and rituals.
Dating: the end of the 19th century.

Condition

The frame (rim) is intact, not broken, with no visible cracks or serious damage. There are scuffs and darkening of the wood, which is typical for old or actively used items. Metal elements look bent or tangled and have lost some of their original shape.
