Description

This small bowl is one of the traditional household items used by the Kazakh people. It consists of two parts: the bowl itself and a fitted lid. Such a design was intended to keep liquids warm and protect them from dust. The surface is decorated with traditional Kazakh ornamental motifs, either carved or painted. These patterns reflect the aesthetic worldview, natural harmony, and cultural identity of the Kazakh people.

In everyday life, the bowl was used for drinking tea, kumis (fermented mare’s milk), or ayran (a yogurt-based beverage). In addition to its utilitarian function, it serves as an ethnographic artifact that embodies the artistic and cultural values of traditional Kazakh craftsmanship.
