Description
Found on the Mangyshlak plateau. Belemnites are an order of extinct cephalopod mollusks. They lived in the sea from the Carboniferous to the Paleogene. In the excavated finds of belemnites were 5 pairs of curved legs, a large eye adapted for swimming in water, tendons, specific secretion glands performing a protective function, a shell consisting of three parts (phragmocone, proostracum, and rostrum), inside a soft body.
