Description

The Order of the Red Banner is the first order of the Soviet Union. The sash of the order is made of dense red silk moire with white stripes. In the central part of the order, there is a white field with a five-pointed star superimposed, in which the sickle and hammer are placed. At the bottom, there is the inscription ‘USSR’, below the star are depicted a plough, hammer, and spear surrounded by a laurel wreath. At the top, there is a fluttering red banner with the inscription: ‘PROLETARIANS OF ALL COUNTRIES, UNITE!’
