Stove-heated brass box iron

Box-type stove-heated iron made of brass.
The body is solid-cast, triangular in shape, smooth, with a rectangular opening at the rear fitted with a removable damper. The damper bears a partially worn oval manufacturer’s mark, in which only several capital letters-M.S… WA-and the date 1880 are discernible.
On the upper part of the body, two decorative brass supports are attached, holding a straight wooden handle.

Materials: brass, wood.
Technique: casting, grinding, turning, carving
Dimensions: length - 16.5 cm; width - 9 cm; height with handle - 15 cm; body height - 4 cm.
