Square or round in shape, uniform on all sides, boat-shaped vessel. Dervishes carried it on their shoulder, suspended by a belt. Dark brown in color. Has two holes (no handle). The exterior is polished, while the interior is carved with depressions and marks.
Widely used in Southeast Asia, Iran, Central Asia, and India. Served as a container for liquids, food, and alms. Holds spiritual significance.
It possibly reached the city of Semey via the Great Silk Road. Presumably entered the museum in 1951.
