A household bucket

Kyzylorda Regional Museum of Local Lore

A household bucket used in the 19th century. The bucket is made of brass and has a shape with a wide bottom and a narrow top. It is equipped with a lid attached by a metal hinge. This design allowed liquids or food products to be stored safely. The surface is decorated with simple ornaments, reflecting the traditional handicraft culture of that period. In the 19th century, such buckets were widely used in the Central Asian region for storing water, milk, and other household necessities.
