Flask (Torsyk)

A flask widely used in the traditional nomadic life of the Kazakhs for pouring and storing beverages. Made from tanned leather, shaped using a mold. The surface is decorated with traditional Kazakh patterns and painted in red, brown, and black colors. A wooden stopper is placed at the top. Leather straps are threaded through both sides for easy carrying.

This item is a valuable artifact reflecting the traditional lifestyle and ethnographic heritage of the Kazakh people. The flask demonstrates an excellent example of leatherworking and decorative-applied arts.
