Assignment

The clasp for the doublet is of a rare original shape - in the form of a stylized image of the oriental fabulous bird “Samyrk” (Semurg).
The clasp consists of 2 halves - two birds. The bird’s body and head are decorated with an overhead seal with grain balls. There is a small blue peephole on the head of one bird.
The wings have a textured design-thin, notched rays. The clasp closes with a loop and hook. Each wing has two loops for sewing to clothing. The clasp’s shape is rare and was chosen to complement a jewelry collection.
Dating: Early 20th century, Kostanay Region.
