Description
The artwork reflects the rich culture and traditional way of life of the Kazakh people. On the left side of the composition is the interior of a yurt: seated in places of honor are a khan and khansha – symbols of authority and tribal hierarchy. The man is dressed in a traditional shapan and headdress, while the woman wears a traditional costume with a tall headpiece (possibly a saukele). On the right, at the entrance of the yurt, attendants or guests are shown preparing to enter. Their postures, gestures, and clothing convey an atmosphere of respect and the solemnity of Kazakh customs. The work serves as an artistic embodiment of historical memory, the culture of hospitality, and the diplomatic etiquette of nomadic society.
