Description
This exhibit is a uniform suit consisting of a jacket and trousers made of durable dark-blue cotton twill fabric. The jacket has a straight cut with a turn-down collar, a front button fastening, two chest flap pockets, and two lower flap pockets. The loose-fitting trousers were designed to provide freedom of movement and were intended to be worn with high boots.
Uniforms of this type were widely used by military personnel, industrial workers, and members of various public and special services during the mid-20th century. Their durable fabric and practical design made them suitable for everyday work under demanding conditions. The object reflects the characteristics of military and occupational clothing of the wartime and post-war periods and has historical and ethnographic significance as an example of Soviet-era uniform apparel.
