Year 1941. From the series “Fiery Years”

Description

Author: Gaev Nikolai Stepanovich. 1921 – 2001
At the center of the composition is a pair of figures pressed closely together. A man and a woman are depicted in a tight, almost inseparable embrace. Their faces touch, their eyes are closed. The male figure is more massive, while the female is wrapped, delicate. The lines are sharp, tense, and the forms are generalized.
