Zhainamaz

Description

Muslim prayer rug (jainamaz) belonging to and used by Z. Kozhalymov.
The shape of the jainamaz is rectangular, with edges adorned with pink tassels. The main background is in dark red tones. In the central part, there is a mihrab that indicates the direction towards the Kaaba in Mecca. The interior of the mihrab is done in a light yellow color and decorated with ornaments.
On the edges of the rug, traditional Eastern patterns are placed, executed in light yellowish-beige shades and highlighted with black lines. Due to the symmetrical composition, the image gives the item a sense of harmony.
The jainamaz is intended for performing namaz, symbolically separating the worshipper from the ground and creating a clean space for worship.
