Description

A traditional Kazakh headdress for married women. It is made of white fabric and has an elongated shape that covers the head, neck, chest, and shoulders. The top part fits snugly around the head, transitioning into a wide piece that flows downward. The edge of the face opening is adorned with a dark brown ornament, complemented by a red trim. The patterns are elongated along the entire front slit, forming a distinct decorative contour. The front part (öngir böligi) is light and monochromatic, emphasizing the contrast between the white background of the fabric and the rich dark patterns at the edge. The ornaments are densely executed, giving the kimeshek expressiveness and elegance. This kimeshek belongs to the more decorative variants, as its design features contrasting and detailed ornamentation.
