Syrym Datov Historical and Local Lore Museum

The Historical and Local History Museum named after Syrym Datuly was founded in the early 2000s with the support of the district administration on a voluntary basis. In 2002, it was officially established as a public museum, and in 2004 it was registered as a branch of the West Kazakhstan Regional Historical and Local History Museum.

In 2007, the oldest building in the district-the house of merchant Tarakanov, which was under the balance of the recreation center-was adapted as a museum dedicated to Syrym Datuly. This two-story house was built in 1867. Today, it functions as the "Alaş үйі" halls of the Syrym Datuly Museum. In 2012, the hall dedicated to Syrym Datuly was moved to the House of Culture, and the merchant's building began to be used as halls dedicated to the "Alaş" movement. This is related to the fact that in 1919-1920, the Western branch of the "Alaş" party was located in this building, where outstanding figures of the nation worked: Z. Dosmukhamedov, K. Dosmukhamedov, D. Kusepkaliev, A. Mametov, B. Atshybaev, K. Kosdauletev. Also, in 1923, Saken Seyfullin stayed in this house. Today, "Alaş үйі" is the second historical building of the museum, protected by the state and included in the list of the 100 sacred places of Kazakhstan.

The Syrym Datuly Museum has 5 halls:
