Ring

Description

Finger ring. The bezel is oval-shaped, with its surface engraved with a floral ornament. The sides of the hoop (shank) are decorated with engraved trefoils. The bezel and the hoop were crafted separately and joined by soldering. Dating: 9th - mid-12th century. Location: Kosozen site, Kosozen settlement, Ili District, Almaty Region. Material: Silver. Technique: Casting, soldering. Dimensions: Ring diameter 2 cm; bezel length 1.4 cm, width 1.3 cm.
