Аpplique

Description

An irregularly shaped metal fitting (overlay) decorated with vegetal and zoomorphic motifs. The ornamentation was executed using engraving and blackening techniques. The nails used to attach the fitting to the object are preserved on both sides. The nails have shanks measuring 0.6 cm in length and heads measuring 0.4 cm in diameter. The fitting is broken into two pieces.
