Still Life with Pheasants. From the ”Hunting Still Life” Series

Description

Author: Dyachkin, Andrey. 1930
A traditional hunting still life with game: on a light drapery lie the bodies of pheasants with outspread wings and tails, painted in a warm ochre-brown palette with greenish and reddish accents in the plumage. The free, expressive manner and the contrast between the dark background and the light fabric lend the composition a decorative expressiveness. At the lower left are a signature and a date.
