The abstract composition is built on the juxtaposition of two images: in the lower part of the canvas, an elongated light-toned form recalling a human figure lying face down; above it, the circle of a yurt’s shanyrak with dark-red drips. On the left are brown volumetric forms. The colour scheme is built on the contrast between the cool blue-green range of the background and the saturated dark-red central patch, expressively worked with drips of paint. The dynamic, emotionally charged texture of the paint intensifies the drama of the image, which unites the themes of human fate and the ancestral home. On the right, below, is a monogram.
