An urban panoramic landscape executed in an expressive manner - with dense, textured brushwork and rich chromatic modelling of form. The composition follows a bird’s-eye-view principle: the tiled roofs of an old European town, a spire, silhouettes of boats, and a bay where a large vessel moves against a cloudy sky. The space is organised through the contrast between the dense, detailed foreground and the broad, airy expanse of water and sky in the background. The colour scheme combines ochre-red tones with cool blue hues, lending the painting sonority and pictorial unity. Bottom right - signature and date.
