A historical-epic composition with symbolic resonance, dedicated to the tragic pages of Kazakh history. In the foreground at the center, a young girl is depicted seated upon a bundle of firewood in an arba cart: her head is uncovered, her hair tousled by the wind, and her clenched fists are pressed to her chest in a gesture of despair and supplication. In the background, amid the frosty haze, horsemen and figures on foot move along - a procession of refugees enduring the hardships of the journey. The color palette is built on a cool, greenish-blue and lilac-gray range of the winter mist, from which the illuminated, delicate figure of the child softly emerges as the semantic and emotional focal point of the composition. The expressive, generalized painting style, the blurring of the background planes, and the focus on the child’s image create a deeply dramatic and charged atmosphere that embodies the sorrow and hope of people in the face of calamity.
