From the depth of the canvas, a steam-engine train moves toward the viewer, emitting puffs of smoke. In the foreground, groups of villagers-both on foot and horseback-dressed in bright traditional attire, gather to welcome the train. In the distance, at the foot of the mountains, small houses and yurts are visible alongside grazing livestock.
