A rural landscape with genre motifs depicting evening features houses and wooden outbuildings enclosed by a fence positioned at the foot of the mountains in the center. In the foreground on the right are two mounted men, while a herd of cows occupies the left corner. Visible in the distance on the left are a woman near a tandoor oven and a mother with a child. Serving as a background are hills and a mountain range beneath a sunset sky. Executed in a generalized manner, the details dissolve into the twilight illumination. The palette is built on deep brown-olive tones, animated by the warm pinkish-golden reflections of the sunset.
