An urban landscape depicting a view of the Alma-Ata Hotel - one of the city’s signature architectural landmarks, included in the official register of historical and cultural monuments. In the foreground, tall trees with dense green canopies frame the view, their trunks revealing a fragment of the building behind; below, sharp, crisp shadows stretch across the pavement. Executed in a plein-air, study-like manner using broad, impasto brushstrokes, the work features generalized forms and bold color passages that capture the stark contrast of light and shade. The palette rests on a harmonious blend of rich, saturated tones punctuated by light-filled accents of bright sunlight. At the lower right - signature.
