Description
The exhibit is a sample of Sufi literature from Central Asia, and it is the oldest and rarest version of the work. It is a collection of philosophical and religious poems that explain the basics of Islam and the principles of Sufism in the Chagatai language with a Kipchak dialect. The manuscript consists of 90 pages and is written in Nastaliq script with elements of Naskh script on Bukhara paper, which has a characteristic yellowish tint. Black (soot) and red (vermilion) inks were used for writing, which retained high contrast, ensuring clear graphics.
