Description

Letter - an appeal from N. Aldabergenov, Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR, to Yakovlev, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. The letter is printed on an official form, with the text typed. The original signature of N. Aldabergenov is preserved on the second page; archival numbers 29 and 30 appear in the upper corners. December 1956.
The letter conveys a request from Chechen collective-farm workers living in the Kapal District to resettle in their historical homeland, the North Caucasus. In view of their long-term contribution to collective-farm work, the author asks that their inclusion among those to be resettled first be considered.
