Bayanaul Memorial Museum of Academician K.I. Satpayev

The memorial museum named after Satpaev was opened in September 1964, and at first it was a small exposition collected by public initiative. 3 years later, in 1967, the museum received an official title and was placed under state management.

In 1973, the museum moved to a typical building. Academician K. I. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Satpaev's birthday, the building was reconstructed in 1989, in addition to it, administrative premises, a warehouse and a cinema hall for 60 seats were built. M. as a branch of the museum. J. It includes memorial museums of Kopeev and S. Toraygyrov, separate buildings of these museums were built in 1993. Today, the total area of ​​the museum is 643.1 m2.

In 2002, the heads of the museum decided to open ethnographic and literary-memorial departments. The museum is equipped with three new halls. This is a hall of scientists, hall of poets, writers, artists from Bayanaul, ethnographic hall.

Stands of 10 academicians, more than 30 medical scientists, professors are placed in the hall of scientists.

Stands in the Hall of Poets and Writers present the life and activities of famous poet, ethnographer, philosopher Yusup Kopeev, musician, singer Zhayau Musa Baizhanov, poet democrat S. Toraygyrov, film director, actor Sh. Aymanov, writers Kalmukan Isabaev, Zeytin Akyshev and others. tells about. Correspondence with the relatives and friends of these people is carried out in order to supplement the museum exposition, recently the museum K. I. Satpaev's daughter, doctor of philological sciences, professor, correspondent member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, author of many scientific publications, supplemented with personal belongings and books of Shamshibanu Satpaeva.

Unique exhibits are displayed in the ethnographic hall. These are household items, products of the Kazakh national yurt. Hand-made work of a local resident, craftsman Zabira Berdalina, is displayed here: tekemet, syrmak, alasha, tuskukiz and other things. The work of collecting interesting creative works of folk craftsmen in the region is constantly being carried out.

In 2013, academician K. I. The memorial museum named after Satpaev celebrated the 35th anniversary of its establishment. On this day, the great scientist of Kazakhstan K. I. A great deal of work was done on supplementing it with exhibits telling about the life and work of Satpaev. Each exhibit of the museum fully describes the scientific discoveries made by the country's first geologist.

The museum is carrying out great educational work, Satpaev readings are traditionally held here on the eve of the great scientist's birthday.
