Kazan. The black cast-iron kazan with a deep bottom has four lugs (handles) on the outer rim for manual lifting. The kazan’s age is evident from its long-term use and exposure to heat, as its outer walls have become thinner due to the flames, and there is even a hole in the center of the bottom.
