Description
The cold weapon characteristic of the cavalry is a long-bladed weapon with a curved single-edged blade. One side of the sword blade is sharp, long, and slightly curved. This shape was very convenient for delivering slashing strikes while mounted on a horse. The tip is slightly beveled. Made using casting and forging technology. Discovered accidentally in the Tarbagatay mountains of the East Kazakhstan region. Transferred to the museum in 2009 by Dauren Ryskeldin. The blade of the cavalry saber is single-edged, made of steel. An inscription “1924” is engraved on it.
Overall length – 95.5 cm, handle length – 14.5 cm, width – 11.5 cm, base length – 81 cm, width – 3 cm.
Condition
The metal has tarnished, and the wooden pads on the handle are missing.
