Description

A solid cast-iron iron widely used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Cast from iron and mechanically processed, this household artifact features a single-piece base and handle, with a factory mark preserved on its upper surface indicating its size or weight. According to its principle of operation, it belongs to the non-electric, heat-heated type of irons: prior to use, it was heated by placing it on top of a stove or over hot coals.
