Spherocone

Description

An archaeologically intact spherocone with a cylindrical body, widened at the center, made of well-kneaded, dense gray dough. The vessel’s exterior is coated with gray engobe and is polished without shine. The neck of the spherocone is straight, with thickened, ridged edges. On the exterior, the central and upper portions of the body are decorated with incised ornamentation consisting of alternating identical patterns and straight, concentric lines. The body tapers toward the bottom.
