Medal

Description

“Labor Veteran Award.” Made of copper alloy in a round shape. In the center is the inscription “USSR,” above which are depicted a hammer and sickle. Below the hammer and sickle are laurel leaves. In the middle of the medal is a ribbon with the inscription “Veteran of Labor.” All inscriptions and images are embossed. The edges of the medal are framed. The medal is suspended on a gray silk moiré ribbon. The width of the ribbon is 24 mm, and the edges, which are 5 mm wide, are decorated with three red stripes. On the back of the ribbon is a clasp. On the reverse side of the medal is the inscription “For long-standing conscientious labor.” The award was presented to the veteran of the Great Patriotic War I.E. Smolensky.
