Jubilee Medal with certificate

Description

1941-1945. The medal “50 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War” was awarded to I. E. Smolensky. On the obverse side, the Spasskaya Tower and the Kremlin wall are depicted, along with the Cathedral of the Intercession on the Moat and a festive fireworks display. At the bottom, intertwined oak branches are shown with the image of the Order of the Patriotic War. On both sides, the inscriptions “1945” and “1995” are present. On the outer side of the medal: in the center is inscribed “50 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945,” with a laurel semicircle depicted around it. All inscriptions and images are relief, and a silk moiré ribbon is threaded through the loop and rim. The ribbon is colored in black and yellowish stripes.
