Description

“Thirty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”A circular medal, 36 mm in diameter, made of brass. The obverse shows a relief image of the sculpture “The Motherland Calls” by Yevgeny Vuchetich, part of the memorial complex to the heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad, set against the background of festive fireworks celebrating the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. To the left of the sculpture, on a descending laurel branch, are depicted a five-pointed star and the date “1945-1975.”The reverse bears the inscriptions: along the upper circumference “To a Participant of the War” or (“To a Participant of the Labor Front”; in the center “30 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”; and at the bottom - a relief image of the hammer and sickle on a ribbon. The edges of the medal are rimmed. All images and inscriptions are in relief.
