Börik (Traditional Cap)

Description

This is a traditional Kazakh-style winter headwear for children, known as a börik.
The top part of the börik is made from several fabric pieces sewn together into a hood-like shape. The material is brown velvet. The edges are fully trimmed with thick black fur, providing excellent protection against the cold. The börik has a round shape, designed to be lightweight and warm. It includes an inner lining to ensure a snug fit on a child’s head. Although it appears simple, the quality of the materials and stitching technique indicate that it was used both for everyday wear and festive occasions.
