Kimeshek

Description

Kimeshek - a traditional national headdress of Kazakh women. It was especially intended for married women and reflected their social status. The kimeshek is one of the important ethnographic items that demonstrate the lifestyle and national culture of the Kazakh people. The kimeshek is made from white fabric in a square shape. It has parts that cover the shoulders, neck, and chest. The front part of the kimeshek is decorated with embroidery in various threads.
