Description
Bесik - the traditional wooden cradle of the Kazakh people, intended for infants. It was used during the first months of a child’s life.
This specimen is handmade. The material is natural wood. The structure consists of two side frames, an arched upper crossbar, a base, and horizontal slats supporting the infant’s resting area. The upper part is shaped as an arch, creating the impression of a canopy over the baby. The lower part has curved legs that allow the cradle to rock. Accessories are missing.
