Description
Medal “50 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR”. Awarded to: Dyomin M.S.
The medal is circular, with a bordered edge. All inscriptions and images are embossed. The medal is attached by a loop and ring to a pentagonal mount covered with a turquoise silk moiré ribbon. A longitudinal white stripe runs through the center of the ribbon, flanked on each side by red and white stripes.
On the obverse, there is a five-pointed star covered with red enamel. In the center of the star, within a circle, is a profile image of two soldiers of the Soviet Army wearing a budenovka and a helmet. The anniversary dates “1918” and “1968” are positioned at the edges of the circle. Around the star is a wreath of laurel and oak branches.
On the reverse, at the top is a five-pointed star, in the middle - an image of the hammer and plough. Below the star is the inscription: “50 YEARS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE USSR”.
On the reverse of the mount there is a pin fastening.
