Medal “Fifty Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR”. Awarded to: Voron V.P.
The medal is circular with a raised rim. All inscriptions and images are in relief. The medal is attached by an eyelet and ring to a pentagonal mount covered with a turquoise silk moiré ribbon. A longitudinal white stripe runs down the center of the ribbon, with red and white stripes on either side.
The obverse features a five-pointed star covered with red enamel. In the center of the star is a round medallion with a profile bust of two Soviet Army soldiers wearing a Budyonovka and a helmet. The anniversary dates “1918” and “1968” are inscribed along the edges of the medallion. Around the star is a wreath of laurel and oak branches.
On the reverse side, at the top, is a five-pointed star, in the center - a hammer and plough. Below the star is the inscription: “FIFTY YEARS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE USSR”. The reverse of the mount has a pin fastening.
