Description

A shallow, winding stream overgrown with tall, lush green grass and reeds recedes into the depth of the painting from the center of the canvas lower edge. The meadow along the banks of the stream is illuminated by bright sunlight breaking through the clouds, creating a contrasting play of light and shadow. In the left part of the meadow, there is a figure of a peasant woman in traditional clothing tending two cows.
