Patchwork quilt

Description

The exhibit is a decorative household quilt made using the patchwork technique characteristic of traditional Kazakh handicrafts. The quilt is based on red fabric. Star-shaped ornaments composed of multicolored fabric pieces are arranged in the central part and on both sides. The star compositions consist of geometric elements in red, blue, yellow, orange, purple, and green. The spaces between the ornaments are complemented by small triangular, diamond-shaped, and quadrilateral elements. The quilt was made by cutting fabric pieces, arranging them into geometric patterns, and stitching them together.
