Whip

Description

The whip was an important object in the traditional nomadic life of the Kazakh people and was primarily used for herding and controlling livestock. Its handle is covered with thick leather, providing a firm and comfortable grip. The braided section is made of four leather strips, with the end tightly secured. The upper part of the handle is decorated with tassels and ornamental elements, giving the object a decorative and ceremonial appearance. The tip of the whip features a tassel-like leather lash that enhances the sound of the strike and increases its effectiveness when controlling livestock. The artefact reflects the traditional equestrian and nomadic lifestyle of the Kazakh people.
