Samovar

Description

A metal vessel with a spout used for boiling tea water. The interior consists of a firebox for kindling and a surrounding chamber into which water is poured. The top is covered with a lid. There are handles for carrying and for opening/closing the lid. The lid bears a stamp: «Торговый дом наследник Баташева в Туле 1825 г.». Factory of batashev’s heir. 1825. Russia. The city of Tula. Material: brass, copper, engraving.
