Spoon

Description

Made of white metal. The upper part of the handle is broken; the remaining part is 6 cm long, the length of the bowl is 4 cm, and the total length of the spoon is 10 cm. On the back side of the bowl, a floral ornament is engraved. On the undamaged part of the handle, the initials “E, Ya” are embossed in large letters, next to it – in small print the year “1858,” followed by the number “84” in large type. On the outer side of the neck, there are two identical casting marks. Information about the manufacturer has not been preserved, but it is known that the spoon belonged to the family of the famous Kazakh scholar Shokan Ualikhanov.
