Description: “Tokabay Kurmash” - this booklet presents a chapter from the work “The Tragedy of the Adai” by the well-known local historian and journalist Abilkhair Spanov. It is dedicated to the hardships endured by the Mangystau Kazakhs during the period of excesses and forced Soviet policies. The main character, Tokabay Kurmash Koszhanuly, was one of the folk heroes who openly opposed coercion, violence, and the forced imposition of Soviet rule in the region.
